Abstract
Studies in adults indicate that reward motivation enhances memory due to increased connectivity of hippocampal and mesolimbic dopamine systems. Whether rewards similarly influence memory processes from childhood to adulthood remains unclear. Preliminary results indicate that while rewards enhance memory across age, the underlying neural mechanisms may change with age.
