Abstract
We examined the predictive validity of parent-report and observational measures of childhood irritability. Observational ratings of children’s situationally incongruent anger provided incremental predictive validity beyond parent-report for later depressive and ADHD symptoms and parent psychopathology history. Implications for the measurement of irritability are discussed.
