Abstract
Using the ecologically valid setting of Cards Against Humanity, college students found that male-presented sexist humor was both funnier and more offensive than female-presented. Higher benevolent sexism and cavalier humor scores predicted higher humor and vulgarity ratings when women told jokes, supporting theories of humor as transgressive.
