Abstract
Indian women from slums face gender-based violence and live in contexts of ongoing adversity; this limits utility of post-trauma paradigms. The continuous traumatic stress (CTS) framework may better capture their experiences. The impact of ongoing adversity on their psychological outcomes were examined and themes of the CTS framework were explored.
