Abstract

In a computerized task, participants identified the emotion displayed in ambiguous faces and rated their confidence either immediately or following a delay. Physically aggressive individuals displayed aberrant post-decisional processing of angry faces, such that they showed particularly steep decreases in confidence over time when they misidentified angry faces as happy.
