Stigmatizing Experiences and College Students’ Self-Determination Needs, Academic Engagement, and General Health

The purpose of this mixed methods investigation was to examine the relationship between college students’ reports of stigmatizing life conditions and their estimates of self-determination needs, health outcomes, and academic engagement. Stigma life conditions were significantly related to self-determination needs, emotional well-being, general health, and academic engagement.
