Emotion-Induced Failures: Increased Attentional Blindness in High Socially Anxious Individuals in an Emotional Attentional Blink Task

Abstract
We asked 44 participants to recall a recent evaluation situation and then tested their performance on an emotional attentional blink task. Our results show a decrease of task performance following negative expressions only in participants who reported high social anxiety, suggesting an attentional bias to negative cues in this group.
