Selective Modulation of Brain Activity and Giving-up Behaviour Using rTMS with EEG

The study aimed to investigate the frequency-dependent stimulation effects of rTMS on the adaptive giving-up behaviours and its oscillatory activity. rTMS at theta frequency induced ongoing theta activity and accelerated the giving-up behaviour while rTMS at alpha frequency induced ongoing alpha activity and slowed down the giving-up behaviour.
