Abstract
We examined peer victimization and depressive symptoms in older adolescents moderated by bias-based and non-bias-based contributing factors using a comprehensive measure of college peer victimization. Regression revealed that bias-based contributing factors (e.g., homophobia) predicted depressive symptoms, but non-bias-based (e.g., hazing) attributions for the peer victimization were protective against depressive symptoms.
