An Ethnographic Investigation of University Police Work

This ethnographic study explored the university police officer’s perspective on the nature of university police work and the crimes that occur on a college campus. Data include interviews and field notes. Three major themes emerged, including: a) serious offenses, b) variety in police duties, and c) officer safety.
