Alcohol Use Frequency Is Linked to Altered Functional Brain Network Connectivity in Adults with a Family History of Substance Use

Abstract
Alcohol use disorder is associated with impaired connectivity within core neurocognitive brain networks. The present research assesses the interaction between family history of substance dependence (FH+) and alcohol use on between-network connectivity in a community sample. Findings suggest quantity/frequency of alcohol use relates to dysregulation of brain networks in FH+.
