Abstract

This study tested the effect of grit and affect on attention. Results indicated that grit did not moderate the relationship between positive or negative affect and participants’ reaction time or accuracy during a modified Stroop task. However, grit positively correlated with trait gratitude and hope and negatively correlated with anxiety.
