Abstract

The study’s purpose is to determine if the relationship between the psychopathy scores and the reactance scores are consistent in an incarcerated sample. Persons with elevated levels of psychopathy are motivated to maintain freedoms perceived as threatened. Data appears to confirm a correlation between psychological-reactance and psychopathy in male inmates.
