Abstract
Children (n=24, M=8.06 years) completed a spelling-decision task. Misspelled word detection increased with age. Misspellings in stressed syllables were not detected more often or faster than those in unstressed syllables, but children’s spelling decisions grew more robust to the influence of stress with age.
