Organizational Factors That May Contribute to Physician Burnout

The literature identifying the prevalence of physician burnout is immense, while understanding of organizational factors that impact burnout is scarce. Using the Areas of Worklife Survey and the Oldenburg Burnout Inventory, this study identified several organizational factors that significantly contribute to physician burnout. Findings provide insight into burnout prevention.
