Abstract

This study examined the relationship between working memory capacity (WMC), metacognitive beliefs about alcohol’s ability to regulate emotions, and alcohol consumption. Participants completed a WMC task, a self-report questionnaire on alcohol metacognitive beliefs, and they also provided alcohol use data. Results indicated WMC related to alcohol consumption via alcohol metacognitions.
