Abstract

Exposure to neighborhood crime plays a central role in children’s development. The present study examined how the presence of neighborhood crime impacts the effectiveness of a parenting intervention on caregiver sensitivity. These findings suggest that greater crime is associated with lower caregiver sensitivity, and that sensitivity is modifiable via intervention.
