Cross-Cutting Symptom Domains Factor Onto Existing Spectra of Psychopathology

Psychopathology has been increasingly represented by dimensional models. The current study sought to explore whether cross-cutting symptom domains (e.g., depression) are associated with psychopathological spectra as indicated by the Hierarchical Taxonomy of Psychopathology. Joint exploratory factor analysis found that cross-cutting domains largely load onto the predicted spectra of psychopathology.
