Adaption Recall Reduces Disgust of Health Food

Participants read a message about kale and reported anticipated emotions about eating kale chips. Participants overestimated negative emotions and underestimated positive emotions. Participants were randomly assigned to complete an adaptation exercise. Those in the adaptation condition reported less intense experienced disgust and ate more kale relative to the control condition.
