Public Understanding of Alzheimer's Disease: Identifying Gaps in Knowledge

The public has demonstrated varying knowledge related to Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Five hundred and one adult participants completed the Alzheimer’s Disease Knowledge Scale (ADKS). Discrepancies in AD knowledge based on ethnicity, education, time in the US, US region, and prior exposure were found. Results suggest the need for targeted psychoeducation.
