WIC Participant Perceptions of Culturally Competent Services

This study evaluated dimensions of cultural competency in WIC’s Los Angeles County services. Data revealed participants’ average satisfaction score for culturally responsive services in WIC programming was above average. Only half participants indicated materials from WIC services match their cultural values, but all indicated WIC employees understand their cultural identity.
