Abstract
Among 918 older adults who indicated they were not sufficiently physically active, the relationship between perceptions of aging and physical activity was mediated by perceived barriers to physical activity. More negative perceptions of aging predicted more barriers to physical activity, which in turn, predicted lower physical activity.
