Abstract

This mixed-methods study explores how trans individuals (N=112) give and receive support via online videos. Analyses indicate that trans viewers watched vlogs to gain models of inspiration from others (70%), to connect with others (69%), and to help others (11%) — suggesting YouTube offers an important tool for relational resilience.
