Emotion Regulation in Older Adulthood: Examining the Roles of Executive Functioning and Quality of Social Relationships

This work examines the relationship between emotion regulation, executive functioning, and social relationships in healthy older adults. The purpose of this work is to examine the mechanisms by which emotion regulation is maintained, and in some cases enhanced, in older adults despite possible declines in cognitive resources.
