Abstract
We examined underlying factors linked with attitudes toward immigrants. Results show that those who value protecting individuals from harm held more favorable attitudes toward immigrants, while those valuing obedience to authority, purity and virtue in others and punishment to uphold social norms and rules held more negative views of immigrants.
