Examination of Moral Binding Values and Rape Myth Acceptance in Relation to Victim and Perpetrator Blame Attributions

This study examined moral binding values and myth acceptance for their association with victim and perpetrator blame following rape and theft vignettes. Greater binding values and myth acceptance were associated with more victim blame and less perpetrator blame; however, myth acceptance was a better indicator of blame than binding values.
