Abstract
This study examined how social support and inflammation may presage depressive symptoms over time. Results provided preliminary evidence that social support and inflammation portend future depressive symptoms. These factors likely operate cumulatively on depression risk and occur independent of past symptoms, and may be modifiable targets for intervention.
