Examining the Predictive Utility of the Brief on Performance-Based Executive Function (EF) Tasks

This study tested the ability of the Behavior Rating Inventory of Executive Function (BRIEF) to predict working memory (WM). Results found that the BRIEF Metacognition index and the BASC Adaptive function index each uniquely predicted WM. This suggests that parent report of adaptive functioning is uniquely predictive of EF performance.
