Abstract
This cluster analytic study of 192 schizophrenia outpatients found three subgroups of trait emotional experience: a normative affect group (42%); a high negative affect group (30%); and a low positive affect group (28%). The two non-normative groups exhibited similarly impaired functioning compared to the normative group, but different symptom profiles.
