Potentially Harmful Therapies: A Meta-Scientific Review of Evidential Value

Abstract
We conducted a meta-scientific review of potentially harmful therapies (PHTs) to determine whether effects were (in)correctly reported, well-powered, statistically significant at an inflated rate given their power; and stronger compared to null effects, using a Bayesian index. We found evidence of harm from some PHTs, though most metrics were ambiguous.
