Perceptions of a Race Advocate Vary As a Function of Attributional Complexity and the Use of a Novel Method to Induce Mortality Salience

Abstract
Using a novel approach, White participants were primed with mortality salience. Subsequently, we found that participants’ level of attributional complexity was associated with their evaluation of a White vs. Black racial pride advocate, moderated by mortality salience condition and race of the racial pride advocate.
