Abstract

Although depression is associated with suicidal ideation (SI), there is limited evidence comparing the association between specific depressive symptoms and SI. Specific depressive symptoms were associated with SI after controlling for depression severity and current non-depressive disorders. Symptoms associated with SI differed between those with and without prior suicide attempts.
