The Effect of Humanizing Knowledge in the Context of Political Partisanship

In an experimental study, we examined whether learning life information about political outgroup members can reduce bias. We found support for the benefits of learning life information about a political outgroup member, regardless of whether participants were exposed to that information before or after learning the outgroup member’s political ideology.
