Dyadic Effects on Maladaptive Personality

Abstract

Students rated their levels of maladaptive personality when with three important relationship partners. Apart from strong trait effects, SRM analyses showed that specific partners evoked maladaptive personality for each of the five traits. Partners who evoked more maladaptive personality traits were seen by participants as unsupportive and as evoking conflict.
