Abstract

We examined female migration from 195 countries in relation to five maternal health indicators and drug related deaths. Maternal health indicators and drug related deaths explained 20% of the variance in female migration. Significant predictors included availability of contraception, adolescent birth rate, and availability of antenatal care.
