Modelling the Illusion of Control in Bayesian Belief-Formation Framework

We put forward a computational model for the illusion of control by means of information theory and probabilistic approaches. This model, which performed well in predicting and explaining humans’ illusory control in two behavioral experiments, reflects humans’ intelligence of rationally using cognitive resources and effectively processing information.
