Abstract

We proposed a value-based prosociality framework and investigated the underlying molecular mechanism. We found people generally behaved more generous in advantage condition and made prosocial decision in a value-based efficient way. Moreover, the neuropeptide oxytocin specifically amplified the efficacy of prosociality, which mediated the oxytocin’s effect on trust and altruism.
