Abstract
With 100 mother-adolescent dyads, we used the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model to examine whether mother-daughter self-reported weight attitudes (fear of fat, dislike of fat people, and willpower) interact to predict dietary restraint. We found that the interaction of mother-daughter weight attitudes (i.e., fear of fat) predicted adolescent girls’ dietary restraint.
