Abstract

We tested a model whereby trauma exposure modulates resting-state network connectivity either directly or indirectly through specific psychological symptoms. Importantly, even though our study sampled neurotypical youth without formal diagnoses, childhood traumatic experiences altered functional network dynamics and this was mediated through symptom sets developed in response to traumatic events.
