Investigating the Construct Validity of Mental Toughness Scores

We compared measures of mental toughness, grit, and resilience regarding their construct and predictive validity. Elastic net regression was used at both scale and item levels. Mixed results were found regarding convergent and discriminant validity, but item-level models accounted for more variance than scale models in performance.
