Abstract
Three studies (Ns=249, 250, 182) failed to replicate the effects of social exclusion on prosocial behavior (Experiment 4, Twenge et al., 2007; d=2.16) and motivation to reconnect with others (Study 2, Maner et al., 2007; d=1.14).Our studies reported small effect sizes in general (range: .12 to .25).
