Flow, Autotelic Personality, and the VIA Character Strengths

Abstract

We examined the relationships of the VIA character strengths with flow and autotelic personality. We found that the VIA character strengths Vitality, Hopefulness, and Perseverance were most highly correlated with dispositional flow. The VIA strengths Love of Learning, Curiosity, Creativity, and Leadership was most highly correlated with autotelic personality.
