Even Distorted Felt Size Engenders Visual-Haptic Cue Combination

Forty-six participants saw one size and felt another unseen size with either bare fingers or tube sleeved fingers to decrease the precision of touch perception. Results showed their subsequent size estimates favored the more precise modality. Observing intersensory cue combination with distorted touch strengthens computational models of multisensory integration.
