Cerebral Hemispheres Process Phonological Information Differently in Working Memory: Behavioral and Electrophysiological Evidence

Abstract
Participants completed a divided-visual field, rhyme probe task for word-word pairs at short, medium, and long SOAs. A LH advantage occurred at early SOA. ERP waveforms were larger in the RH on rhyming trials, with no difference in the LH across conditions. Results suggest both hemispheres support phonological working memory.
