Abstract

A prospective memory commission error occurs when an individual mistakenly fulfills an intention (e.g., taking a medication twice by mistake). Previous research has shown that prospective memory commission errors are highly resistant to correction in laboratory settings. We tested the extent to which a motivational intervention could reduce these errors.
