To Save When You Feel Bad: The Negative Emotion Could Promote Deontological Decisions

Abstract

The study examined the effect of negative emotion and time constraint on judgments in moral dilemmas. The results show that elicited negative emotions increased deontological decisions in the scenario which involves the most aversive action. Also, the study found no evidence of the effect of time constraint on moral decisions.
