Abstract

The study explored the relation between intrapersonal adaptation and diverse patterns of interpersonal engagement. Romantic relationship involvement was associated with less loneliness and dating, higher self-esteem. No dating or romantic relationship involvement was associated with higher fear of intimacy and loneliness. Hooking up was not independently related to intrapersonal adaptation.
