Utility: Anticipated, Experienced, and Remembered
How do characteristics of anticipation, experience, and memory influence utility (total pleasure or pain) derived from various engagements, and do people correctly forecast these effects? We present findings on how these phases shape total utility, as well as people’s views and misconceptions about their contributions.
