Self-Reflexive Emotions As Transdiagnostic Factors for Mental Health Problems

Friday, May 26, 2017 · Boston, MA

Clinical Science

Self-reflexive emotions are relevant for social functioning. We focus on the relation between the emotions of envy and shame and psychopathology. They also impair emotion regulation abilities which are addressed in DBT treatment. Studies investigating self-reflexive emotions and mental health outcomes and a DBT treatment study will be presented.
