Motivated Cognition: Explorations in the Dynamic Interplay Between Motivation and Goal Representation
The talks in this symposium investigate how representations of goals as associations of means and ends are acquired and maintained (Custers & Pilditch), impact congruence between implicit and explicit goals (Sklar, Fujita, & Trope), affect goal pursuit and achievement (Freund & Kaftan), and are influenced by need states (Fishbach).
